Low armchair which can be dismantled, made of solid teak, chains, braided canework and cotton cords. Slightly slanted backrest with cotton cords and “log”-type crosspiece in the middle. Braided canework seat on a teak frame, suspended by chains at the sides. Flat, profiled armrests fixed to the backrest by screws and nuts. Horizontal, flat, profiled legs connected by two “log”-type crosspieces. This seat, of which very few copies were made, was among the first created by Pierre JEANNERET upon arriving in Chandigarh. These seats were used personally by him and his colleagues.
